At St. Peter Chanel School, we believe that Digital Technologies is an integral part of everyday life. To cater for the development of children’s needs in this technological society, we aim to provide various programs, facilities and technological experiences that expose our students to the technology of today and recognise its importance for student learning. Students learn how to use various technologies efficiently and responsibly, as well as learning how to keep themselves safe, protecting their information and privacy whilst maintaining respect for themselves and others online in the global community. We aim to assist students to develop critical perspectives so that they can operate responsibly, safely and ethically within society.

Students have access to various technologies to support their learning. These tools include Chromebooks and iPads. Our school highlights and promotes online safety with school events involving students and our parent community. We have partnered with Inform and Empower to create safer and more positive online experiences for every child. We are an eSmart school – an initiative of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, which helps schools maintain a supportive and connected community by teaching the smart, safe and responsible use of online technology.
