Mathematics
At St. Peter Chanel, students engage in problem solving through investigating, modelling, reasoning, and visualising. A strong focus is placed on the development of mental computation strategies in all number concepts to support flexible and efficient mathematical thinking. The Mathematics program provides a solid foundation of skills and understandings which can be built upon throughout the later stages of education.
The study of Mathematics includes:
- Number and Algebra
- Measurement and Geometry
- Statistics and Probability
Learning programs are differentiated across all Year levels to cater for the needs of all students. Intervention and acceleration programs are also offered to provide further support where required.
