Student Leadership

Our house system is an unique opportunity for our students and families to further enrich our school culture, elevate student’s wellbeing and create valuable connections. Fundamentally there are four coloured teams, these teams are referred to as ‘houses’ and offer all students opportunities where they can experience a true sense of belonging. The range of experiences organised by the student House Leaders are fun, diverse, inclusive, vibrant and engaging opportunities for all students, from Year Prep through to Year Six.

Year Six Students apply to be a House Leader by delivering a speech to their peers that reflects on their leadership qualities. They also express an initiative they would like to lead. The Year Six students collectively elect their House Leaders. The House System gives the students a chance to express their student voice and engage the participation of the whole school community.

Our Year Five students also have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills through the lens of social justice. The school has a Mini Vinnies social justice team that puts their faith into action by educating and advocating for those in our local and global community who are in need.
